Talaria Battery 72v 4464Wh 62Ah ATOM V2 25Kwbattery and was primarily designed for high power and HUGE long range. With a powerful aftermarket controller (see our controllers page) the set up for this battery will be 15-18Kw, depending on your motor. Please observe the specifications for your controller and motor. Exceeding the recommended limited may invalidate your warranty.
Exoskeleton /Casing
We have upgraded the casing to marine grade 316 stainless steel, so absolutely no rust issues here! Super tough and powder coated inside and out.
Connectors
The main battery to controller connectors we use are the same type as used by Talaria to keep everything compatible. This allows you to swap your standard battery back should you wish.
Domestic Electrics
All your bike accessories are still powered. Some believe that not using the circuit breaker direct to the controller removes the safety of the circuit breaker. However, all our batteries have a full working BMS. Any power shorts or irregular current and the BMS shuts down. This is much more sensitive and accurate than a mechanical breaker (you may note that the Sur Ron Ultra Bee does not use a circuit breaker and relies on the BMS alone).
Battery Compartment Lids or Lifting Kits
Because of the extra battery height (385mm) minor modification will needed to your bike. Remove the battery compartment tray
There are several options:
#1 Fit an aftermarket battery compartment lid – there are several on the market
#2 Remove the battery plastic base tray in the bike (simply remove the 5 small allen key bolts from the top looking down) and fit our 5mm spacer between the metal battery lid catch and the lid (spacers provided)

Connecting To Bike
When connecting the battery to the bike and to avoid a spark, turn the red trip switch on the bike to off. Connect the older original power cable and then turn the red trip to on. Then connect the new power leads. Removing the battery has no special order.
Battery Charging
First time charging is VERY important. Always connect the charger to the battery with the charger powered up at the mains first. This will stop a “Connection Spark”. The battery needs a “Balance Charge” on first charge. Please charge for 12 hours first time. Always charge your battery in a safe place and never unsupervised.
